НЗЧ из групп амавротических идиотий amaurotic idiocy и гликозидозов, характеризующееся отсутствием гексозаминидазы А; летально в раннем возрасте (обычно 4-6 месяцев); наследуется по аутосомно-рецессивному типу, ген HEXA локализован на участке q23-q24 хромосомы 15.
